This volume, along with several others, was purchased from the James A. McDivitt Estate Sale held by Caring Transitions BIDS (CTBIDS In-Home Online Auction: Hacienda del Sol, Tucson) on 29 March 2022. The auction description read: "Exquisite sale in the home of a famous early astronaut [James McDivitt]. Sale features all kinds of NASA collectibles, autographed memorabilia, and medals of honor... Do not miss this wonderful...opportunity to take home a piece of history!"
Included is the auction receipt for this lot, with a photo showing the book on McDivitt's bookshelf. Also accompanied by an Orbital Artifacts COA certifying provenance from McDivitt's collection.
